Bed and Breakfast Maidstone

Aylesbury House is a smart Victorian property built in 1861. We are located walking distance from Maidstone town centre. Maidstone is the county town of Kent and Aylesbury Guest House is an ideal base from which to explore the area. We are close to the train and bus stations and we have off road parking available for one car per room. There are numerous places to eat in the town centre and just 3 doors along the road from our bed and breakfast the White Horse pub serves lunches each day and evening meals apart from Sundays.

Nearby attractions include Leeds castle, Hever castle, the Hop Farm, Mote Park, and a wealth of National Trust properties. We are also close to Archbishops Palace, Oakwood house and Turkey Mill for guests attending weddings or functions. Tourist information is based in the newly extended Maidstone museum which is well worth a visit. For those researching their family history the records office can be found in the new library.

Each of our 8 rooms is individually decorated and all have en suite showers. All rooms have flat screen digital TV's with DVD player, hairdryers, toiletries and hospitality trays with a selection of Fairtrade teas and coffees. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Accommodation is located on the first and second floors.

Breakfast (the most important meal of the day!!) includes free range eggs, Speldhurst sausages and Chegworth Valley apple juice all produced locally. Our cooked breakfast is prepared to order and on our buffet table you will find a selection of cereals, seeds, organic yoghurts and fresh fruits. We always have available gluten and dairy free items and vegetarian sausages. For coeliacs gluten free toast is prepared in a separate toaster. Fresh filter coffee is Fairtrade from a local Kent supplier. We serve breakfast from 7.00am until 9.00am during the week and 8.00am until 9.30am at weekends and on bank holidays.

Aylesbury House is personally run by Paul and Nicola Dennis with a small team of staff. We welcome all guests whether on business or here for pleasure but our property is not suitable for noisy late night revellers!!
